Teens: Are You Interested in a Medical Career?

Are you interested in the medical field but aren't quite sure which field you want to choose? Nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy ... today, more than anytime in the past, there are any number of specialities to choose from.

Exploring is a part of the Learning for Life's career education program offered by the Boy Scouts of America. The program is open to young men and women who are 14 to 20 years of age & have completed the eighth grade.

The purpose of exploring is to provide experiences that help young people mature and prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Explorers are ready to investigate the meaning of interdependence in their personal relationships and communities.Monthly meetings are held to engage in hands on demonstrations and learn about the variety of medical fields at John Randolph.

During the school year, meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in Classroom AB (basement level). Dues are $10 a year.

At the next meeting, Tuesday, November 1st, a nurse with SkySTAT, HCA's newest helicopter service, will speak.

If you have any questions, please call Brenda Paige at 541-7536.
